We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to deliver projects on time and within the defined budget and scope while meeting the expectations and needs of our clients. The ideal candidate should have a background in business analysis or software development, management, budgeting and planning.
The IT Project Manager will strengthen our PMO team and contribute to the success of our clients and biggest projects. The IT Project Manager is a crucial team-member responsible for the project delivery and improvement processes. In order to achieve this, you will partner closely with the stakeholders to ensure the maximization of benefits for our clients and the company. S/he is also expected to be able to quickly understand the projects’ objectives, status and deliveries with minimum help and supervision in order to take the ownership of the projects and risk management.
Duties and responsibilities
- Ensure client satisfaction and manage escalations, acting as a single point of contact to the client.
- Developing the agile project scope, milestones and objectives, documenting those accordingly and ensuring the project execution takes place according to the agreed plan.
- Use appropriate techniques and methodologies to manage changes to project scope, cost and schedule or other KPIs defined by the department.
- Develop, manage and sustain relationships with clients and all stakeholders.
- Draft and maintain thorough project documentation for each phase deliverables.
- Review project deliverables and ensure they are in line with each acceptance criteria.
- Act as the link between business and IT, taking ownership of their assigned projects and their financials.
- Project management and monitoring: collect and understand business requirements, elaborate proposals, planification management and project goals.
- Align development teams and help ensuring they deliver on time and on budget.
- Supervising QA & UAT phases (including benchmarking) on each corresponding environments.
- Help define and establish project metrics and track their accomplishment.
- Possibility of travel to client premises or conferences up to 10% of the time.
Qualifications and skills
- Fluent in English AND French, oral and written. (Any other language is a
plus.) - Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar role, combining IT and functional expertise.
- Solid understanding of software development life-cycle and knowledge of Waterfall, as well as Agile project management practices and the ability to combine them together to fit project and customer business requirements.
- Experience in Agile software development.
- Strong working knowledge of the Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence).
- Organized, analytical and a team player.
- Passionate, strong initiative, self-driven with a commitment to succeed.
- Proactive with strong problem solving skills.
- Good influencing ability whilst taking a collaborative approach.
- Experience in complex projects and crisis management.
- Excellent internal and client-facing communication skills.
- Experience in international consulting firms (BIG4) is plus,
- Prince2, Agile/Scrum, ITIL or any other relevant certifications are an advantage.
- Business analysis experience is an advantage.
