Using TAO as a Course Administrator
Prerequisites
TAO must be registered with your LMS platform by a TAO admin.

Linking a Test to an Assignment

Navigate to Assignments in the Course menu.

Click the blue Assignment button for a new assignment.

Under Submission type, select External Tool.

In the Configure external tool dialog box, click the Find button (in the URL) to view and select the Deep linking option for the registered tool.

In the Link resource from external tool dialog box, under Deliveries select your delivery/assessment.

Click Link selected and Select to confirm.
Linking a Test to a Module

Select Modules in the Course menu.

Select +Module to create a new module within the course.

Name the module and click Add Module.

Once the module displays on the home page, select the + button on the right side of the module tile to add an item to the module.

In the Add Item form, from the dropdown menu add External tool. Select the Deep linking option for the registered tool and click Add Item.

Select the green checkmark to publish both the module and the embedded TAO tool. Once the module and test are published, you can view the test by clicking on the test name in Modules.
Creating a test review session
This option allows test takers to view the test (and their responses) after completion.
- Navigate to the Courses section in the menu on the left of the window, and select your course.
- Navigate to Settings in the Course menu on the left of the window.
- In Settings, select TAO Authoring from the menu on the left of the window.
- In the authoring tool, select the Deliveries tab.
- In the list of deliveries on the left-side of the window, select the delivery you want to create a review section for.
- In the deliveries details, copy the Published Delivery ID.
- Return to the Course. Select Modules in the course’s menu on the left side of the window.
- Navigate to the module the assessment was assigned to. Select the plus + button on the right side of the module.
- A dialog box will appear. In the dropdown menu, add External Tool to test review. In the menu that appears, select the Review option.
- The Link resource from external tool dialog box opens. Under Deliveries, in the search bar, copy the Published Delivery ID.
- Click Link Selected and Add item to confirm.
Once the assessment is republished, test takers will now have the ability to review their tests after completion.
